Canon will Announce a New RF Zoom Fisheye Lens !
According to CR, Canon is planning to announce a new RF zoom fisheye lens in next few months. This lens features an all-new optical design and will be compatible with both crop and full-frame cameras. The EF 8-15mm f/4L USM enjoyed widespread popularity as a niche lens, and it is anticipated that the RF variant will have comparable focal length and speed.
The EF lineup’s strength lies in its specialized lenses, such as the zoom fisheye, MP-E 65mm, and arguably the best tilt-shift lineup of any manufacturer. We know that new tilt-shift lenses with autofocus capabilities are in the works, and this has been confirmed in recent weeks, but no specific launch timeline is available yet.
The MP-E 65mm f/2.8 1x-5x lens has a dedicated fan base, and we believe Canon will develop a similar lens in the future, although no details are currently available from any sources.
