After announcement of EOS R5 (B&H/Adorama/Amazon) and EOS R6 (B&H/Adorama/Amazon), Canon now focus on APS-C mirrorless cameras. According to latest rumors, Canon may announce two new APS-C mirrorless cameras in late 2020 to early 2021. One is a higher-end APS-C mirrorless camera, the other is the Canon EOS M50 Mark II.

The new announced RF 100-500mm f/4.5-7.1L IS USM lens is scheduled to be released on September 30th according to Canon USA. While at B&H Photo Video’s RF 100-500mm lens product page shows this lens will start shipping on July 30th this month. Is this just a typo or Canon has moved release date to July 30th ? Other stores like Amazon and Adorama still said this lens will be released on September 30th.
Australian film director Andrew Kaineder has shared first 8K and 4K sample footages shooting by new announced EOS R5 (B&H/Adorama/Amazon). You can watch these videos. Andrew K said he didn’t have any overheating issues in the cold weather in winter.

According to Canon Japan official website, Canon may release a firmware update for Canon EOS R5 (B&H/Adorama/Amazon) in near future. This new firmware for EOS R5 may add FHD at 120p, Canon Log 3, and low bitrate mode to RAW & IPB for all resolutions and frame rates.
