Canon to Announce At Least 3 New Lenses Ahead of CP+ 2024 in February
Canon is set to announce at least three new RF-mount lenses ahead of February’s CP+ 2024 show. While specifics remain undisclosed, sources suggest these lenses will target niche user groups within the photography community.
One strong possibility is specialized tilt-shift lenses. Tilt-shift lenses allow unprecedented control over focus and perspective by enabling adjustments to orientation and angle. The rumored addition of motorization would further improve ease of use for focus control. For architectural, landscape, product, and creative shooters demanding extreme focusing precision, motorized tilt-shift RF lenses would be game-changing.
Beyond niche products, the RF 24mm f/1.4 prime and RF 35mm f/1.2L USM would make astrophotography and environmental portraiture more accessible than ever.
While not confirmed, some consumer wishes could become reality in this announcement. As February approaches, anticipation runs understandably high for the next RF lenses, even if they skew toward specialty use cases. These would further Canon‘s commitment to round out the RF mount ecosystem with products catering to all types of photographers.
