Canon to Announce At Least 3 More RF & RF-S Lenses in 2023
Several days ago, Canon has just announced the new RF 10-20mm f/4L IS STM lens for EOS R cameras. It seems to be Canon just getting warmed up, with rumors circulating about additional RF and RF-S lens announcements before 2023 comes to a close. At least two new RF-S lenses for Canon’s APS-C mirrorless cameras are rumored to be unveiled, along with another top-tier RF L-series lens.
While specific details are scarce, industry insiders speculate one of the RF-S lenses under development could be an ultra-wide zoom lens. Other manufacturers are rumored to have major product launches slated for November, so Canon may plan to ride that wave with some lens introductions of their own.
The recent update to Canon’s RF lens roadmap provides some hints about what could be next. But Canon is playing this one close to the vest, maintaining the element of surprise as they continue to expand the captivating RF lens system. Photographers and videographers are eagerly awaiting the next round in Canon’s 2023 lens offensive.
